Power distribution for industry, when production must not stop

In industry, power distribution is directly tied to the continuity of production. When the load grows, new lines are commissioned or processes are changed, the system has to keep up without starting to limit operations.

For production, the decisive thing is that power supply, distribution and loads work together also when use changes. If the whole has not been sized for real-world use, capacity limits are hit only at the stage when production should be grown or changes made during operation.

We design and deliver the power distribution solutionss for industry, from main switchgear to distribution boards and all the way to the loads. The whole is sized according to the real load, load peaks and operating environment, so that it supports production also in change situations. Cooperation can be based on ready plans or it can start from a situation where the solution still has to be defined.

Designed to withstand use and changes

Sized for actual load thumbnail

Sized for actual load

Power distribution is designed according to the load, load peaks and use cases. This avoids situations where capacity runs out or the system starts to limit production.

Readiness for changes and expansions thumbnail

Readiness for changes and expansions

The distribution structure is designed so that capacity can be grown in stages without having to rebuild the entire system. This is particularly important at sites where production is developed in stages or new lines are added during use.

A compatible whole from a single supplier thumbnail

A compatible whole from a single supplier

When main switchgear, distribution boards and cubicle switchgear come from the same supplier, the whole is easier to manage and deliver. This reduces on-site coordination and lowers the risk of errors in the project’s critical phases.

How we ensure a working whole

In industry, functionality is decided already before delivery.

1

Needs assessment and technical review

We go through the load, operating environment and critical functions. Where necessary, we complement the starting information and steer the solution in the right direction. At this stage we also identify those points where capacity limits or faults could later affect production.

2

Design and definition

We define the solution so that it meets the site’s requirements and supports production use also in change situations. At the same time we take into account future expansions and the development of the operating environment.

3

Manufacturing, configuration and testing

We manufacture the solutions and configure them ready according to the buyer’s requirements. Where required, we perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to verify functionality prior to delivery.

4

Delivery and commissioning

We deliver the solution as agreed. Where needed, we support commissioning and installation so that the solution is brought into production in a controlled way.

How can we help?

Tell us about your production’s requirements and future change needs. We help define a power distribution solution that supports use now and gives readiness to grow capacity later on.

FAQ about the service

You get support from us throughout the project, from design to delivery and also during use. Below you will find answers to questions that typically arise in industrial projects.

How do you ensure that power distribution withstands load variation?

Power distribution is sized according to the real load, load peaks and use cases. This ensures that the system supports use also when the load varies.

How do main and distribution switchgear affect production?

The sizing of main and distribution switchgear and the structure of the distribution determine how the load is shared and how well the system withstands changes. When designed correctly, they do not become a bottleneck for production.

Can capacity be grown later without downtime?

Yes. Distribution is designed so that capacity can be added in stages without having to rebuild the entire system or interrupt production.

When does the choice of switchgear matter?

The choice of switchgear affects how well the system withstands use, load and changes. The right solution supports reliable use and controlled expandability.

Why does power distribution sometimes start to limit production?

Typically because the system has not been sized according to real-world load and change situations. Then capacity or distribution structure no longer matches use.

Can you come on board even if the plans are not yet ready?

Yes. We can define the power distribution whole from scratch or carry it out on the basis of ready plans.

At what stage should the risks related to power distribution be considered?

Already at the design stage. Most problems are linked to situations that could have been anticipated on the basis of the load, use cases and expansion needs.
