Our goals and operating principles

Our goal is always to operate in a way that lets our personnel, our customers and our other stakeholders be satisfied with the results of our activities. Our operations are planned and productive. They are led on the basis of information, anticipating risks and continuously taking account of development opportunities. In our operations we comply with legislation, strive to anticipate its development, and keep the supervising authorities informed of our situation.

We identify the essential requirements, needs and expectations directed at our operations and products and act accordingly. We keep the promises we make and we are efficient. We identify what is significant for the whole and focus on what is essential. We create operating conditions in which keeping promises is easy and possible — important matters have their time and place.

Our team

Skilled and motivated personnel are the core of our operations. We ensure that working conditions enable smooth, safe and error-free work. We make sure that the right information and the right expertise are where they should be. We develop our operations continuously together with our personnel and our other stakeholders.

Quality

We design and manufacture high-quality, competitively priced, reliable and safe products in line with our customers’ needs and requirements. In manufacturing we use the methods, suppliers and materials best suited to the purpose, taking into account the requirements set for them.

We get it right the first time. We continuously monitor the quality of our products and operations and respond promptly to any deviations we detect, investigating their causes. We carry out the necessary corrective and development actions as agreed. We deliver finished products to the customer as they were ordered, to the right place and at the right time.

Environment

We know our supply chain well enough to understand its environmental impacts and to know what comes in through our doors and what goes out. We require the same from our suppliers. We identify the most significant environmental factors associated with our own and our stakeholders’ operations also in exceptional situations. Our operations and products are designed to be energy-efficient and, as far as possible, optimised in terms of environmental impact.

We aim to use materials efficiently and direct any unnecessary materials to reuse whenever this is technically possible and economically viable. For our products, there is sufficiently extensive information so that they can safely be taken out of use at the end of their life cycle.

Safety and well-being

Taking care of our personnel’s ability to work, their safety and their well-being is a key matter for all of us. We always aim to act proactively and prevent harm before it occurs. Work-related hazards and strain factors are known and the risks are under control. We monitor working conditions regularly and tackle any detected issues firmly. We report and investigate all accidents that occur as well as observations affecting safety and health, so that we can learn from them.

We also design and manufacture our products so that their manufacturing, commissioning and use according to instructions is safe and free of risks. We want to ensure that at the end of every working day everyone goes home healthy.

Responsibilities

The management team is responsible for resources, the planned development of operations and for ensuring compliance. Line management and supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous development of quality and environmental matters, personnel well-being, and occupational health and safety issues. The whole personnel is, for their own part, responsible for complying with agreed working methods, actively raising detected development areas and shortcomings, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. Everyone is responsible for looking after their own safety, coping and well-being as well as that of their colleagues.
